How We Work.
We approach our work holding deep consideration for how trauma and attachment can impact our lives. In our therapeutic relationships, we join clients in safely exploring what might be at the core of any issues that have moved them to seek therapy, and in turn, what they might need or want for themselves in the course of our exploration together.
While not an exhaustive list, these are some of the more common issues & experiences our clients are navigating in their lives:
Anxiety
Compulsive Tendencies
Chronic Pain
Codependency
Communication Issues
Depression
Emotional Dysregulation
Feeling “Stuck”
Grief & Loss
Hypersensitivity (HSP)
Phase of Life Transitions
Perfectionism
PTSD
Relationship Difficulties
Religion & Spirituality
Self-Worth / Self-Identity
Sexual Addiction
Sleep Disturbances
Sports Performance
Stress
Our team uses a holistic approach that is compassion-focused and culturally-sensitive to support our work with attachment and trauma. Our intention through the tools we use is to help clients connect to a greater sense of aliveness within their heart, body, mind, and spirit.
NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM)
While we integrate several modalities in engaging with clients, our primary framework uses the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). NARM supports post-traumatic growth by moving towards both internal and external resources to foster the development of an increased capacity for self regulation. NARM offers an invitation to come home to ourselves by identifying patterns stemming from complex and developmental trauma. These patterns have often kept us from being able to connect to ourselves and to others in meaningful relationship. The NARM Institute describes it best — connection is our deepest desire and greatest fear.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Our team also incorporates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in working with clients who have experienced event trauma. EMDR uses forms of non-invasive bilateral stimulation to reprocess difficult memories in a way that reduces the disturbing emotional experience that is often associated with specific types of traumatic events.

IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback (MCN)
MCN rounds out the tools we use to effect healing and change in working with our clients. We are excited to be able to offer this technology in our office with a dedicated certified practitioner.
